Dashes vs. Underscores in your URLs

ExpressionEngine’s default word separator for URL titles is an underscore. In the linked video Matt Cutts explains that Google interprets underscores as a connector and dashes as a separator- for friendlier URLs change your default settings! It’s easy to do, but somewhat hidden:
Admin > Channel Administration > Global Preferences set “Word Separator for URL Titles” to “Dash” rather than “Underscore”.
