Hello There. We Build Websites.

We are People's Elbow web design collective, we build custom handcrafted websites and graphics. If you are seeking identity, a custom web design or want contract design consultancy, we offer services that rival larger web companies and provide more than your average freelance web designer.

The members of People's Elbow are all employed at Chicago advertising and marketing agencies, and we offer agency insight and service for a fraction of the cost. We build useful and simply operated content-managed websites (we also do a bit of identity too). We believe your website should be attractive and easy to use. Interested in getting in touch? Hydraulikart.com

Hydraulikart.com is a Chicago-based online art collective. The website features full membership capabilities including unique account creation, individual artist galleries and blogs. The website runs on the Expression Engine CMS, with a series of customized functions and behaviors allowing members to manage their own creative content.

The Tiny Lounge

The tiny lounge is a much beloved Chicago martini lounge. The interface design reflects the cocktail lounge's recent renovations. The client wanted to showcase the modern aesthetic of the new lounge interior on their website. The site features full content management/administration over the extensive drink selection, event listings and supporting media.

Interiors Magazine

Interiors magazine wanted a content managed website with smooth article management. The website is heavily trafficked and frequently updated with new content. We provided a solution that allows automatic archival of past materials, simple administration tools and a linear design that showcases the rich imagery and writing Interiors magazine is recognized internationally for.
